Is your makeup making you look older?

As we get older it takes more effort to look younger, but are you overdoing it with your makeup?

Are you wearing too much foundation?  How about over-powdering?  Powder may have worked in your 20’s – 30’s but as you get older powder can add 10 years to your face.  So go for a foundation instead of a powder.  But what foundation do you choose?  The wrong foundation can settle into those fine lines and wrinkles and make you look older.

Here are my picks:

How about those eyes?

I didn’t know this, but eyebrows should be a shade lighter according to makeup artists.  Apparently the best look is a shade lighter than your natural color to look youthful and natural.  Unnatural eyebrow colors can look outdated and make you look older.  Do you like to wear eyeshadow?  Eyeshadow tends to fill in all those creases and make you look older.  Either don’t wear eyeshadow or choose a lightweight primer to use underneath it.  Be sure to tone it down that eyeshadow.  Too much does not look good.
