Shop for a Cure Breast Cancer Fundraiser

Imagine a world without Breast Cancer. Hopefully one day we will get there.

In 2018, Avon announced a partnership with the American Cancer Society; joining together two iconic names in the fight against breast cancer.  

As part of its multi-year sponsorship of Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks, Avon invites its Representatives, customers, and employees to join Team Avon to raise critical funds and awareness.

Avon will also donate a portion of proceeds from the sale of their pink ribbon products to the American Cancer Society’s breast health programs.

My Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Journey

All of us have been touched by cancer.  Perhaps not physically, but personally and emotionally. We all know someone who has had a form of cancer, has died from it or survived it.  You may even have a form of cancer and are facing the daily battle. 

Personally I have not had to deal with it physically, but I have known and know those who have had cancer; including breast cancer and have seen the struggle and prayed for those loved ones and still do.  

I had always wanted to participate in a Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk but it was always too far away for me to attend.  However, in 2018 when Avon became the National Sponsor of this wonderful event and asked if I would like to represent them in Anchorage, Alaska, I said, “absolutely!”   Even though it was a three hour drive and I had to pay for a hotel; it was worth it. 

I am hoping to attend again this year; however, I need to raise enough money to pay for my trip as well as raise money for the event.   

Every three-five mile Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk is a powerful and inspiring opportunity to unite as a community to honor breast cancer survivors, and raise awareness about steps we can take to reduce the risk of getting breast cancer. One person can do a lot.
