Skin Care Myths and Truths
Skin care myths and truths have been around for a very long time. Who knows, maybe even since the beginning of time. Even the Egyptians were known to have used a variety of plants and oils on their skin.
Have you ever heard chocolate will make you break out with pimples? What about wearing makeup regularly will cause wrinkles? How about rinsing your hair with cold water will make your hair shinier?
There could be a little bit of truth to some skin care myths. Here are a few myths and truths.
You will inherit your mom’s wrinkles
Truth – Genes do play a part in how you age; however, lifestyle can minimize or cause wrinkles. It is important to live a healthy lifestyle for healthy skin.
Drink lots of water, eat healthy, exercise, don’t smoke and always protect your skin from sun damage with an spf 25 or higher. You can also counteract the signs of aging with anti-aging products.

Not only does it protect my skin with SPF but it also increases moisture, reduces the appearance of wrinkles, lifts the look of sagging skin and more!
If you have sagging skin it’s too late to do anything about it
False – It is never too late to firm the look of sagging skin.
Unfortunately, age and gravity placy a major factor in sagging skin and although we may be able to slow it down, we will not stop it completely.
Face yoga can help if you can remember to take the time to do it. This is something I have looked into. I have done some face yoga, but need to do more on a regular basis.
